How do I apply to be a Medidex pharmacist?
To become a contractor on the Medidex platform, follow the links on this page to register on our portal to submit your application. Once your application is accepted, you’ll be able to complete your profile and begin answering medication questions for clients.
Who are the clients I'll be working with on Medidex?
Clients sign up through our platform to ask medication questions, as well as connect with and chat with pharmacists directly. Clients can be anybody with questions looking for answers from somebody with expertise in pharmacy.
How is service delivered on Medidex?
Connect virtually with clients on our secure web portal on a mobile device, tablet, or PC. Clients have access to a mobile application as well to ask questions and request chats. We offer messaging via text—this means you always have the flexibility to engage on your own schedule. Depending on the client’s plan, we also offer live sessions (video, audio, and chat) that can be scheduled.
How much do Medidex pharmacist's make as independent contractors?
With Medidex Connect, you earn money for conducting live sessions with clients and when you message with them. We pay pharmacists $1/minute when they are actively participating in a chat with clients – meaning your earning potential is up to $60/hour. This translates to $124,800/annually assuming 40 hours of chats per week for 52 weeks.
By default pharmacists on the platform are not Medidex employees, but independent contractors.
We at times may also offer pharmacists full-time, salaried employment — with a total value of compensation packages including benefits (health insurance, and 401K contributions, etc) that are competitive with the contractor rates for full-time billable hours.
What is the time committment of being a pharmacist on Medidex?
As an Independent Contractor, you can dedicate as much time as you want to Medidex. Our goal is to make doing your job easier and more convenient. You’ll have flexibility in your schedule, and freedom to answer as many requests as you like.
Is it possible to be a Medidex pharmacist alongside other work?
You can use Medidex Connect as a primary source of income or to supplement other income. How much and when you use the platform is totally up to you.
